If you have a question about any line of either dialog, please ask.

Your task is to send me your answer
(1,2,3 or 4) to the question that follows each dialog along with a translation of the answer sentence and a very brief explanation as to why you believe it to be the correct answer.  If you happen to get it wrong, I'll let you know and you can try again.  Don't worry, we never take away Pop-tart points that you've already earned!

Dialog 9
features the particles NI and HE used to designate a destination.  The setting is two individuals discussing their New Year’s plans.

Some of the words that might give you pause are…

実家 = じっか = parents’ home

滋賀 = しが = Shiga Prefecture

Probably the most challenging line in the dialog is A’s second sentence featuring a もう and a も.  If you figure this one out, you will probably be able to select the correct answer.

In Option #4 of the answers, you come across 住所 (juusho), address, and 忘 (wasureru), to forget.

Dialog 10 claims to continue to focus on the particle NI although it only shows up once in the dialog.  I would say that it has more to do with こと — at least when you get to the second part where こと shows up in three of the four sentences each time used a different way.  This can be kind of a tough dialog to figure out.  I hope the illustration helps.  And here’s a little help with the Kanji:

古墳 = こふん = a earth mound tomb

ゴルフ場 = ゴルフじょう = golf course

工事 = こうじ = work, construction

捕まりました = あつまる = to be caught/arrested

天皇 = てんおう = emperor

墓 = はか = grave

場所 = ばしょ = place
